Re: "As I recall, *ntel was required to have a "second source" for chip supply. AMD was the chosen by *ntel to be that second source and *ntel gladly delivers the production masks to AMD's doors. All this occurred so *ntel could "win the contract" and get their first big break. After *ntel builds enough fab plants world wide, it no longer needs the second source supplier AMD. AMD is forced to court and the rest is history."

The rest is history? You haven't even finished the first part yet...

AMD was required to give Intel designs in return. Here's what happened.

#1 Intel gave AMD the 8086. AMD made big bucks. Intel got nothing of value in return.

#2 Intel gave AMD the 80186/8. AMD made and STILL makes Big Bucks. Intel got nothing of value in return.

#3 Intel gave AMD the 80286. AMD made BIG Bucks. Intel got nothing of value in return.

#4 Intel got sick of giving AMD their designs while AMD couldn't come up with anything of value in return so Intel told AMD to *uck off.

#5 AMD has been playing the "victim" ever since.

There are lots more twists to this story but they all boil down to AMD getting Intel's intellectual property and NEVER giving Intel anything in return. You call this being a "victim". I call it being a deadbeat. Intel has never made a $ off AMD intellectual property but AMD has made 100s of $Millions off Intel intellectual property. I think you are confused as to who the victim is here.
