RE: The ITanium may put Intel into the Enterprise Server market.

I am thinking there will be an Intel server box (minimum 2-way) in every house serving as the central server. All the game consoles & other devices, will interact through wireless with this server (Blue tooth technology). I was expecting micro-controllers would have taken this market, instead the pc like devices are coming down to take this market.

No wonder MSFT was worried on this. I sure hope they create a better version of OS for these boxes.

By the way what do you think of the story in mercury news on IBM gaining the market share over SUN in unix servers. After EBAY outage looks like IT managers are becoming more open to the idea of alternatives to SUN. Interesting to see how sun will spin this story.
