If you're tradin', you're subject to deep depression and black periods. There are no exceptions. The longer you trade, the more negative energy you accumulate until you purposefully lose your dough to save yourself. The challenge for traders is to last 5 years. You also have to be willing to become utterly indifferent to whether you win or lose and can just as easily put down 500Gs as 5Gs. You can't be attached to the fruits of your labor. You have to be wise enough to realize that spending the money you earn causes more grief. Without these controls the blackness comes. Almost all quit broke rather than face the cycle yet again. This is why Livermore uttered, "My life has been for nothing", after he shot himself to death.
