I'm a lurker on this thread, and at the suggestion of you fine folks I picked up a copy of License to Steal today. I hate book jackets, so I took off the cover and noticed that on the actual book itself, it doesn't say Anonymous and Timothy Harper, but it actually says Scott Gilman and Timothy Harper.....could this Scott Gilman be the Anon??? I thought that was kind of funny....

In any event, I haven't read more than a few pages yet, but I thought I'd bring that up.

Thanks to everyone for suggesting the book!

[Edit]
Just did a web search and found this:

HarperCollins is all set to publish the autobiographical License to Steal: The Secret World of Wall Street Brokers and the Systematic Plundering of the American Investor. The lead author--in eye-catching He-Must-Be-Protected-At-All-Costs style--is identified as Anonymous. Perhaps it is hoped no one will recall a detailed Publisher's Weekly item in May crediting stockbroker Scott Gilman.

It's strange that they would put his name on the book when they're "trying" to keep him anonymous.
