Jim, this URL summarizes Barrons piece on Mattel.

cbs.marketwatch.com

It's apparently another "value"-centric piece, saying that Mattel is fixable. Nothing new. I agree MAT will not go under, but MAT is dead-as-a-doornail money for years, barring some catalyst, like a buyout or merger. This brings me to:

Last weeks ICGE buy of Harbor Ring [Hong Kong}[toy mold co} is a sign of things to come.Playmates Toys which owns 15% of Harbor Ring was up 150% in the week PYMTF. The word in HKT was MAT and ETOYS may be next.

What do you mean: "MAT and ETOYS may be next"? Do I understand you correctly that MAT has a direct ownership stake in Harbor Ring or indirect, in the form of owning a company that in turn owns Harbor Ring? Playmates Toys shareholders basically won the lottery.

If MAT has no stake in Harbor Ring, then what is your point? The only reason ICGE bought Harbor Ring simply to get a HK stock listing. The company will be renamed ICG AsiaWorks, and will be an Asian B2B venture incubator. This kind of transaction happens in the US too...it's called a reverse merger. It's a way to get a stock listing on the cheap.
