Are you sure IBM knows which side their bread is buttered on anymore? Even the S390 market might finally be sliding away like some unfortunates' houses in Daly City (oh, you live in Texas, right?). I think IBM will promote, push whatever HW is selling from now on. The IBM rep said they'd be pushing copper down into mid-range RS6K's. Copper started in 390, but they'll proliferate it now.

Interesting times re high end server choices. Might be the most since IBM and the 7 dwarfs, without a giant any more.
