David, I listened in on the OILS teleconference on Friday.
An analyst from the US asked the same question that you did.

The answer I heard was that yes, Synergy's "syngen" reactor could be placed in a car and would supply hydrogen in a form useful to Ballard's fuel cell unit. As I understand Ballard, their process consumes hydrogen, using natural oxygen, to produce CO2, H20 and energy.
I have absolutely no idea about how Synergy is progressing with this particular application.

I never heard mention of them talking with Ballard, and heard no mention of an association with any names in the fuel cell industry.
The OILS management declined to comment on any questions regarding potential stock price, potential partners, or anything related.

They did say that the public can expect "several" news releases over the next 30 days, relating to the company's progress.
I was quite surprised at the number of US analysts asking questions, but given that this is a US listed stock (based in Calgary), I guess it makes sense.

Regards,
S&P
