Assuming AMD wasn't going to make enough profit on the X-Box to justify the production costs and loss of other business opportunities, would the deal have still been worth it to have future gaming software optimized for AMD's 3D Now instructions? This appears to an area where AMD has an advantage which will not be lost to Intel. See semibiznews.com
