DLJ's expectation of .12 is just that - their expectation. The consensus is still at .16 and has not dropped despite the lower expectation of dlj. Furthermore, I believe there is some confusion in terms of comparing apples to apples. As to the .16 consensus - is that strictly from operations or does it include some amount from investments (like last quarter) and if so, how much? Also, as to the dlj .12 - same questions - is the .12 all from operations or does it include some investment income? and if so - how much? It is my reading that the .16 consensus includes a certain amount from investments (.02 to .03) while the dlj amount is strictly from operations and does not factor in any investment income. If so, then dlj may be only one cent under consensus. Any thoughts??
