Stockalysis, DDR is a dead issue...

All of the major DRAM manufacturers are or will be ramping RDRAM aggressively for the remainder of this year. Where is DDR at this point? Let me answer that...nowhere!

Rambus has patents dating back to 1990 that indicate they were the first to incorporate synchronous DRAM and Double Data Rate DRAM. Rambus designs have been incorporated into game machines since early 1995. This is before SDRAM was in a personal computer.

In addition, do you think it is surpising that all the manufacturers announced aggressive plans for RDRAM after Rambus' filing against Hitachi...I think not. Rambus' intention is not to collect back earnings, but rather to ensure it's future earnings.

AMD has always been a chimp to the Gorilla Intel, no reason to believe that things will ever change on that front.

VT

BTW-pompsander if you are reading this, Intel has 1,000,000 warrants at $10.00, they can exercise them when RMBS captures 10% of the DRAM market.
