Paul, Yes - Intel's strategy is a long term one. It is coupled with increasingly better CPUs as well as (hopefully) increasingly better software. Sum Microelectronics seems to be intent on providing low performance CPU's for their workstations. I don't think that you can buy a PC anymore as slow as the fastest Sparc processor. Scumbria
