kumar_rangan: I was referring to Eric L's Smart Cards. The kind which can be inserted in phones to permit identification of the caller and also carry key information through the internet to a bank or other application.

Sadly, CDMA does not use them, GSM does.

This is an area which seems like a major new possibility, but is frustrating from an investment standpoint, since the companies involved are huge and diverse (such as Slumberger) or obscure. No gorillas or kings seem around. Yet these Smart Cards would seem to have a huge potential.

(Re Sandisk, I happen to agree on your point. I had a relatively small holding, but that is now a large holding.
Due only to SNDK's rapid growth in the past months.)

But I am now interested if there is a G&K possibility in Smart Cards - which are ubiquitous in Europe, but only known here by American Express's "Blue Card" - the first of many.

Best.
