From the "Last Mile" thread as highlighted on SI front page: Message 13154324 This disruptive technology sounds like it could spell big trouble for Teligent. According to Gilder it is faster, cheaper, and more flexible than microwave as well as providing more bandwith and requiring unlicensed spectrum. This could be one of those water into gold hype trips... on the other hand, with Hesse signing up for the cruise and the big Gilder endorsement, probably not. I guess we'll just have to see how the Street reacts to TGNT the next two days after Tera-Beam rolls out and probably has a two-day hypefest. This one kind of came out of the blue. Trust Alex & crew will have a response ready if TGNT gets hit too hard. Unlike WCII, isn't TGNT a little more diversified away from the high-rise urban cores?
