I do have a lot of exposure to the market. That is why I am thinking about trimming it back. However, these are just my option positions. I also have other equities and some index funds. All in all my options positions are about 62% of my total portfolio.

I do not have any short calls uncovered, so I am protected on the upside. My cost on my calls are about 40% of their current value, so I am way ahead of the game. I do want to start cashing out some of them and exercise others. I had a good run on PMCS. Just before my vacation in December, I wrote calls on them to get some cash out. I left 170 points on 20 contracts on the table. I have been telling my wife that vacation costs us $340K. That is one reason I still have not cashed out my positions, the fear of missing a big run. Although I have had a good run in just about all my calls. Sometimes you just get lucky.

As I am writing this the Globex futures is down. The fear is in the air. But I do think there will be another one or two pops in the market in the next couple of weeks. I plan to take advantage of them and start cutting back.
