There are whole regions of the world where a phone is still a luxury, or the wait to get a wired phone can be years. I would like to see Globalstar target these governments and help them bring their populations into the first world, and profit from it.

Excluding these types of scenarios, there are many places in the US where there is little or no cellular coverage. I can be less than a half hour from downtown Seattle and have zero coverage.

Globalstar has great sound quality and technology, the problem is handset and per minute costs. They need to take the prices as low as possible and grow the usage. Globalstars foreign providers are a huge hindrance here.
