Hi... sorry for breaking in... I have a friend at Paine Webber who talks to upper management at TOFF from time to time. I have followed it for years and have bought several thousand shares at prices ranging from 9/16 to 11/16.

The story is (as I understand it, and I barely do - the lingo is entirely foreign to me) that they drilled in the 'hot location' and came up dry. Currently, they have funding to drill deeper (as I'm sure you're aware management is tied in to two large publicly held companies, Leviathan and DeepTech). I think it was DEEP that funded them (in Jan '97?) to continue drilling deeper.

It's a hit or miss kind of thing, IMO. If they strike, the stock could soar. If they don't, well, we know what'll happen. Knowing that management is linked in with LEV and DEEP made me feel a little better about the whole deal, but you'd have to be a fortune-teller (or an on-site geological engineer) to figure this one out.

If you have $500 or $1000 to spare, I would recommend grabbing 1000 or 2000 shares and holding on. According to the Paine guy, the target if they strike is 4.

Regards.
