Phillips DVD units - No Dolby Digital Decoder. Does this mean that they can not support 'in machine' AC-3 decode or that they can not support Dolby Digital decode for Surround? I saw no mention that this machine even has a jack to support outboard AC-3. So even if you do have the pricey external box you may not be able to get the signal into it. Can anyone explain on the ZiVA feature page, The difference between the ZiVA-DS and the ZiVA-D6.....From the looks of it the ZiVA-D6 contains all that you will need for full blown AC-3 5.1 sound. But the Z-VA-DS still supports Dolby Digital 2 channel, While Phillips (According to the write up) does not support Dolby Digital decode? If this is true then Freds comments are right on the money! Comments please Ed Strus PS (longs) dont sell your shares too soon!
