Jules - Excellent analysis of IBM's quarterly report. I share your surprise and disgust for "analysts" ignoring these salient points. It is as if they WANT IBM to rise to new heights, by any means whatsoever. Perhaps IBM will soon begin selling off some of their excess real estate to add to "sales and revenue". I do believe that these same analysts, or their semiconductor counterparts, inspect every nickel on Intel's quarterly reports looking for "suspect" income and a reason for a "downgrade". I know Drew Peck, Mark Edelstone and Erika Klauer do! Paul
