For anyone who has been eager to take up buying on the dips, this is a good day to get started. N. B. that statement is "writ sarcastic." It's a good day to take up snake handling, too. I have never understood why, if I believe in sound money, I am also expected to be in favor of carrying a pistol in my pocket--and why, if I believe in civil rights, I am expected to approve of homosexual acts. I do not understand why if I would like to see tobacco banned, I cannot be in favor of nuclear power--and I do not understand why, if I disapprove of posting the Ten Commandments in classrooms, I must also disapprove of mandatory testing of teachers for AIDS. OK that's enough to make everyone mad.
