. . . . LONG PORTFOLIO REPORT: . . . .

The Nasdaq opened down over 200 points today. . .it has come back considerably at this time. . .but still down 100 here. . .we are going to look at how our many long portfolios are doing on such a radical day.

Now I have already called the top on this market. . .so those of you still heavy into tech stocks here. . . you are on your own.

For example, I have shifted from most of our long portfolio plays into our Summer Value/Growth Portfolio 2000 as I do every spring. And guess which of our portfolios is doing the best today. . . yup, the Summer Value/Growth is only down less than 1 percent today. . .with MXTR, ATHM, AKLM, AOL and TWX leading the way. siliconinvestor.com

It is difficult to tell exactly where the NGI Broadband Port 5.0 and the BULL Port 4.0 are, due to NSOL and JDSU splitting today 2 for 1 and the SI port not yet catching the split. But I would say that nearly all of our long ports are down about 2.5 to 3.0% at this hour. . . with our Aggressive 10 Port not surprisingly down the most at about -5.7%. . . with ADAP leading the way downward.

So the next question is this. . . will the sell-off continue? Or is this just another fluke day? And once again, my bet is that regardless of the answer, a defensive posturing is in order. . . and so far since my call of the top of tech last week. . . it has been the correct decision. . . only time will tell.
