New Sky Communications, Inc. AnnouncesCommencement of Pre-Production On Feature Film "THE GODMOTHER"

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2000--New Sky Communications, Inc. BB announced today that pre-production activities for its feature film "THE GODMOTHER" will begin in Los Angeles on May 1, 2000. New Sky said that the company has obtained commitments for financing and that principal photography is tentatively scheduled to begin late this year.

Carl R. Reynolds, President of New Sky Communications, said that, "Based on commitments we have received involving financing of "THE GODMOTHER," we believe that the establishment of a pre-production office and the commencement of pre-production activities is now appropriate."

"THE GODMOTHER" is a comedy written in part by Joel and Ethan Coen, who won an academy award for "Fargo". New Sky says it has received letters of intent from Katherine Helmond ("Who's The Boss?") , Alex Rocco ("The Godfather II"; "Get Shorty"); and Max Casella ("Doogie Howser, M.D."; "Analyze This") to appear in the film, and that other cast members are expected to be announced during the pre-production process, which is expected to last approximately six months. The film will be Co-Executive Produced by Charles M. LaLoggia and Leonard Shapiro and will be Produced for New Sky by Angela and Jimmy Daddabbo, who produced New Sky's previous feature film "FREAK TALKS ABOUT SEX."

New Sky Communications, Inc. is a producer of independent motion pictures, including "FREAK TALKS ABOUT SEX" and the previously released "LADY IN WHITE" and owns forty percent of the Movieplace.com Web site.
