Sure, if those orders materialize. Of course they could. I'm betting they will.

But I don't understand the technology. I'm just gambling on a long shot pony: crazy odds, but if I win the pay off is big.

I think GTSM tried a previous run using gallium arsenide, an old idea now that everyone (Cray, for instance) eventually abandoned as too toxic and too expensive to justify its better speed.

But maybe GTSM will suceed on its current run. Anyone here care to explain where CdTe fits in the scheme of things? Is this a replacement for silicon, or part of the silicon process, or a separate chip market (the way supercomputing CPUs are separate from commodity CPUs), or what?
