Alan, RE: "I think that they realise that the bastion of WINTEL market domination position is being seriously threatened." Man, how many times have I heard that. I suppose it could be true this time. My argument with Microsoft competing with Sony is that they are talking about an entrenched consumer electronics product, which is Sony's "space". I would be equally skeptical if Sony were planning on entering the business software market. As far as the relative technical quality/functions of the products, I'm not the one to venture an opinion. I haven't played a video game since Pac Man.
