I was hoping for the same, and I kept waiting for the run-up....never happened. Seems like only NVDA benefited from the hype.

you can count on 1 hand the public companys that
can develop inhouse games for the unit.


Let's see:

MSFT, EA, Infogrammes, ATVI, and HAS. Seems like only one of these companies is a real buyout target.

I have heard, however, that the XB will be based on the Windows2000 kernel and Direct-X. This shouldn't make development too difficult. Haven't heard anything on the proposed royalty scheme yet.

I heard today that Dolphin is delayed until 2001. I wonder if Sony is worried about all this competition?
