How do you want the average calculated? Do I credit any profits taken against the basis of the remaining shares? Or do you want my actual basis on the shares held? Or my tax basis (adjusting for a wash sale I still have on the books)? Actually, the only one I care to give you is the first (because I have it handy -- I haven't updated my spreadsheet lately): $0. JMHO.
