The broker was Brown & Co. The "dividends" were included in my standard 1099-Div. Since I've now paid taxes on 5cents/share (total) of the BNEZ spinoffs I'll make that the cost basis for whenever I sell them, so its only an issue of when I pay taxes, not how much. But it was still pretty odd. Eric
