I haven't, because we don't know all the $$'s yet of these deals. For example, how much debt are we inheriting? Are these companies profitable, getting profitable?
From what I know about buying retail outlets in Malaysia, it should be a money making proposition, but not without plenty of competition. Every other store here is Singapore is an Electronics retail store. No bargains to be found here. So all the locals and tourists go to Malaysia to shop for electronics, cell phones, etc.
Cell phones cost a fortune in this part of the world and everyone and their uncle has one regardless of the cost. Sitting at a coffee shop here one day, I noticed 8 teenagers at a table, and everyone of them had their phones on the table. I looked around, same thing at every table.
When a cell phone retail outlet has a sale, the lines go around the block, no joke. This amazes me cause in the U.S. they give them away for the price of using the service.
I hope this info helps in judging whether or not Seto made a wise choice in buying cell phone retail outlets. |
