I think AMD will post the Q1 earnings enough to beat the upper whisper number and sandbag the remaining to Q2, just like what it did in Q4'99. 74c is the highest whisper number so far I have seen. My guess is the Q1 earnings will be around 75c. Then provide a positive sequential guidance for Q2. That will do wonder to the stock price and provide a cushion going forward. The truely knock-out punch will come in Q3 after come-back-to-school season IMHO.

I am confident AMD is able to deliver just that in its best year ever. I am waiting for 2-for-1 split in October.
