It's mighty tough to calculate the value of SEG's ownership in other companies. If (IF?) the latest SNDK news is that SEG sold 1M shares and drove the price down from $170 to $125, what do you think would happen if they dumped their whole load?

I hate to repeat myself but a few decades back So. Pacific Railroad was carrying 10,000 lots of California property on their books for just $10,000 and nobody cared. Only after they started putting up shopping centers on their holdings did anyone notice.

It's clear that if you own a whole lot of something, you can trade it or merge it but you dare not sell it. As soon as SEG builds a shopping center on their SNDK holdings .... :-)
