Mitsubishi Develops 250-mW Laser Diode for Optical Communications
March 14, 2000 (TOKYO) -- Mitsubishi Electric Corp. said that it developed a 980-nm pump laser diode (ML8XX2) for an optical fiber amplifier (EDFA: Erbium doped fiber amplifier) used for long-distance optical communication.
