Kumar speaks again (sorry if this was posted already):

on24.com

Didn't take notes but he attempts to elaborate on why AMD is lost... and has nowhere to go. Apparently e-mail to ON24 and Kumar encourage a follow-up performance.

Tidbits:

(1) overall PC market to grow 19% this year, then 8% [this isn't good for AMD or Intel]
(2) AMD "solely" focussed on desktop [what about mobile K6?]
(3) desktop growing slowly in future (8%) but servers 25%, a market which Intel has "90% market share" [PT: really?]
(4) slams Hector Ruiz
(5) AMD's engineers (the good ones) have all left
(6) AMD not preparing for next generation... Willie in 3Q will extend Intel's lead
(7) Flash one step away from being a commodity like RAM and then prices will plummet

Oh yeah, Kumar's past relationship with Intel doesn't bias his present analysis.

Sorry I didn't take real notes but I wanted to offer some entertainment to the thread.

Enjoy,

PT
