Hi Reginald,
Not only am I "inferring" but I am "accusing" the "Street" analysts of putting a very positive spin on a very negative Q1 earnings report from IBM. Shareholder's equity decreased, long and short term debt increased, hardware revenues flat to down and going south as INTC gets stronger in their server and workstation market, lower margin Services Div. (19 %, or 1/2 of H/W and S/W margins and suseptable to inflationary labot costs) is increasing at expense of software and hardware revenues, virtualy absent from high growth developing country growth markets, and much more. All of this was plainly spelled out in the Q1 earnings report, yet Dan Mandresh of ML raised his recommendation to short term "Buy" and the stock took off 24 + points upward. Regi, you tell me what's going on?

I'll try to write more over the next few days, but I would be interested in your reply.
Jules
