Techplayer- If you pick apart the 1999 numbers I linked to, supposedly ALA did $6.51 billion. NT did $5.58 billion. LU did $4.65 billion. These figures include digital cross-connects. I noticed in your Dataquest mention, there is no DCS in their figures or they didn't mention SDH either.

But they are only estimates and I've seen big discrepencies between the research firms. Let me know if you can find the Dataquest figures. It would be interesting to compare them to RHK and others. I'm trying my best to track them but it's not easy because of all the fine print and lack of standard terminology.

For those that don't know, CSCO reported $200 million in, "optical," revenues during 2000 Q2 ended Nov99. Pretty close to a $1 billion run rate. I don't recall what Chambers forecasts were. I don't even know if he tried to predict. I'm guessing everyone knows there will be more M&A for CSCO that could greatly effect any optical revenue forecasts. Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)
