Retail Sales - about as expected:

Sales pick up
8:38 a ET
U.S. retail sales rose 1.1 percent in February, the government said Tuesday, about in line with Wall
Street forecasts. Consumer spending, which includes retail sales, fuels about two-thirds of the U.S. economy and is closely watched by investors and policy-makers. Excluding autos, sales rose 1 percent last month, a shade above analysts' estimates.

Financial markets showed little reaction to the report.
