Computer with initiative -- dials up on its own ... Did you check things like your Startup folder? How about Startup in System Configuration Manager? If these places are OK, try step-by-step startup and see if you can catch the guilty party red-handed. When starting, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and see what's running. Gather clues until you solve the mystery. Cheers, PW.
