announcing new SANworks(TM) software products that provide simplified
Open SAN storage resource management. The new SANworks offerings,
developed jointly with strategic partner HighGround Systems, the market leader
in storage resource management software, mark Compaq's entry into this rapidly
growing storage resource management market and significantly enhance
Compaq's NonStop(TM) eBusiness solutions.

Announced today are SANworks Storage Resource Manager and SANworks

and availability. Both products ensure data protection, minimize IT spending,
and automate storage monitoring.
SANworks Storage Resource Manager is Web-based management software
supporting Windows 2000, Windows NT, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX,
Compaq Tru64 UNIX, and Red Hat Linux. It is a market-leading reporting
solution that provides IT managers with storage data analyses to simplify and
streamline storage resource management.
SANworks Storage Resource Manager for Exchange is also Web-based
software that provides IT managers with network-wide reports, alerts, planning
trends and policies for managing Microsoft Exchange storage capacity,
consumption, and availability. Additionally, it provides the centralized reports
and policies needed to manage critical, fast-growing Exchange information
stores.
