Good post MamaBear. I might add that one function of a free market is to provide a measure of self regulation. When a company becomes ridiculously overvalued shorters are attracted like flies to a dungheap. This is well illustrated by the current ECNC debacle. Long before the government can act on allegations of misconduct the individual investor can "vote" as it were with his or her pocketbook. Those who cannot welcome shorters to this thread have been naive and foolish. regards, Harpo
