S and P 500 .....again.
I looked at the float and 12 month trailing revenues of JDSU and Yahoo after the stock split.

JDSU float is 535 million.
Yahoo's float 210 million.

JDSU 12month revenues are 673 million
Yahoo's revenues are 588 million

I believe JDSU's growth rate is a lot higher as well.

Could it be possible that S and P wanted to wait for the stock split as some have suggested since that is a factor to consider when looking at including it in the index. Certainly, JDSU looks like a very important force in technology going forward.
Right now, it might be the best candidate for inclusion if they will consider growth stocks; better than VRTS.

It was a quiet day on the message board so I thought we would revisit this subject.

BTW--I regret buying some companies like Chiron just solely on the S and P possibility. I guess you can't win them all. It could still get in but has tanked in recent days and therefore the upside may not be that much if included.
