Artquest and Cenosis Reach E-commerce Solutions Agreement MONTREAL, March 14 /CNW-PRN/ - ArtQuest International Alliances Inc. (ME: AQ.B - news) and Cenosis Inc. (ME: CE - news) are pleased to announce their agreement for the marketing of e-commerce solutions involving management and data transfer of numeric content for the graphic arts industry. The agreement provides that KangaCom Inc., a new division of Cenosis, will distribute ArtQuest products in consideration of royalty payments. ArtQuest's technological platform allows for the transition from analogue to numeric mode, which vastly reduces production costs and printing time by eliminating the need to produce film, as was traditionally required. Due to their open architecture, ArtQuest softwares are compatible with equipment currently being used in the printing and graphic arts industries.
With the annual, worldwide transfer of millions of megabytes of numeric content for printing, solutions distributed by KangaCom in partnership with Bell Nexxia will meet the need for efficiency. A publication produced in Paris, for example, can now be distributed via a wide-band IP network and printed simultaneously and reliably in Montreal and in many other locations, thus allowing for reduced costs and production times while ensuring high-quality printing that is consistent with current industry standards.
Cenosis and KangaCom recently announced their partnership with Bell Nexxia for the joint distribution of extranet solutions delivered on Nexxia's wide-band IP network and announced funding of $2.5 million which is earmarked for marketing their extranet solutions. For its part, ArtQuest recently announced a Europe distribution agreement with Agfa Europe, S.A. and secured an institutional financing of $4.5 million, part of which will be used to develop these new applications.
Mr. Guy Le Henaff, President of ArtQuest said: ``ArtQuest and Cenosis target the same market for their respective solutions. The recent alliance between Bell Nexxia, Cenosis and KangaCom opens the door to a growing business that ArtQuest solutions can optimize. Our solutions are complementary and will allow for maximum use of KangaCom services.'
According to Mr. Robert Parenteau, Vice-President, Production at Cenosis: ``ArtQuest's products represent an important component for the development of Cenosis' business to business e-commerce solutions. The products stemming from the ArtQuest platform provide integral quality content, while maximizing the use of new printing technologies. ArtQuest products and solutions have already proven themselves on the market and are currently being used by major players in the industry.'
