I can only speak anecdotally, but it seems that is exactly what I've been doing wrong. If I buy at 2.50, I am inclined to sell half at $5 and keep the other half free. But it seems lately, that is exactly the opposite of what I should have done. Once it breaks 5, buy more again because it's going higher. You pose a really good question. I don't have any real data other than my own misgivings...

Maybe some others might have more scientific data.
