Trust Buyout.....

>>On the other hand, maybe the only way to unlock the potential of Novell's technology is for a company to buy them out. Any suggestions along these lines?

Harmon:

Novell is already "in play" right now.

The world will be asking tough questions and we will all be voting with our feet/wallets.

For the past 2+ years, I and many others have extended trust into and through Novell. They have NOT mirrored this trust.

Meanwhile, Microsoft and others are benefitting from Novell's distrusting ways. They are learning from us while Novell proves its inability to move beyond it's Old Paradigm.

All the New Buyouts will be along these new emerging, open, public channels of trust and collaboration.

I'd like to think a New Novell could emerge which would immediately mirror back a response to Paul Fiondella and myself in realtime.

For this kind of forum - this kind of open dialogue - IS the future and the future is NOW.

Gate's entire wealth is based on perceived trust. The world understands Microsoft is a competitive, taking energy paradigm but has still rewarded it's investors with the belief and trust that Microsoft will be able to burn through a ton of more trust, time, opportunities and information out there.

Novell could be a target.

This could be a horse race.

How about if Microsoft and Novell each invested an equal sum of money in a Novell/ActiveDirectory-based start-up and let this new company have complete power and control to decide what it wants to do.

Novell and Microsoft could have equal voting power to pick and chose the management, etc.

This new entity would then be free to decide what company's products it wanted to use based on the free and open exchange of energies, information, time, trust, etc.

I'd be interested in being voted into playing a leadership role to run this new entity.

And I'd base the entire future direction of this company on one focus - building communities by going where the energy and ideas are.

Peace.

GO!!
