Speaking of margin, Datek is protecting itself, at least somewhat. Here is a list of stocks with "Special Requirements", from the NTAP thread. The author believes that these new requirements may have had something to do with today's sell off. What would happen if AG made them system wide?

I still think he ought use his gradualist approach on margin requirements, announcing that he will up them by 5%/month for 6 months beginning in a month. However, it hardly matters what I think.
