It just takes longer but its not science fiction Actually, the G* architecture whereby the SP is responsible for ground operations, sales, and support fits in very well with political reality. A China Telecom, for example, would build and operate its own SP and simply lease G* capacity to link its remote WLLs to the SP. I can think of no more feasible or cost-effective means for a country like China (or India, Mexico, etc., etc.) to provide a modern communications infrastructure to its rural areas than this.
