"First of all, anyone who calls themselves "Blandbutmarvellous" cannot be a curmudgeon..."

This is true. Bland does not seriously aspire to curmudgeonhood. He was simply attempting to ascertain, without having to read the entire board from the beginning, if being a curmudgeon was more a quality of character or one of philosophy. If character, bland could only conceivably qualify on a part-time basis. In the morning, for example. If philosophy, bland was simply curious what the tenets were. At a minimum, at least a mild and muted sort of rudeness would seem to be indispensable for true curmudgeonliness to manifest itself in any satisfactory sense.

The whole concept is a novel and admirable one, bland would be the first to say. He applauds the whole notion, whether it is ultimately suitable for him to participate or not.

For whatever it's worth, bland took a bath in the market today himself. ELON was his only survivor.
