on QCOM where and when? really tough call

been talking to various people, mainly 2-3 informed types
giving credit to them as being quite resourceful

NOKia announced a gradual shift in commitment to CDMA at recent analyst meeting last Friday
but their actual business operations are incompatible with stated intentions and goals
Robert exited meeting at 2:30pm Friday (catch timing)
NOK is not on top in CDMA phone market share
NOK has nothing, zip, nada, in way of CDMA phone offerings
they are top dog in all other phone types
Christmas sale season is 7-8 months away
NOK in no way is gonna blow their Christmas season
getting NOK's mfg for new CDMA phones will not be immediate
NOK has a couple months to wake the hell up
wisdom of dual mode design only complicates the process
NOK must capitulate and purchase CDMA chipsets from QCOM
NOK is not gonna allow their #1 position to erode and disappear
NOK knows that CDMA is the future

my conclusion: NOKIA news of major deal could happen within two weeks, or at most two months

effect: could be worth anywhere from 40-100 pts for theQ

just the thoughts and conclusion of a tech sharecropper
