start with the basics you know on how to research...go to a sector listing of semiconductor makers, or find a well known maker such as txn, and normally any profile will show similar companies that they compete with....it's almost a reverse approach, where you start at the end and work to the beginning....when you find a company that you have screened to meet your criteria, best to go, if available,to their corporate website, which normally posts press releases, and annual reports...they usually contain contracts of supply to the end user......many things can be discovered in the fundamentals, which can place you ahead of the momentum player....tie this in with the current technicals and price action and a decision of risk/reward can be logically made...
