Steve, RE: "Alan G. to raise more than 0.50". Unfortunately
I believe that that will come . Maybe in lump sum or in parts.
I believe that what we have here is a runaway hot economy
and Alan can't control it. Every time he raises rates, the
Naz goes up.
So we are destined to get multiple cuts until profits go
down. The soft landing becomes more and more a mirage.

If Bush wins, as it looks like, and he cuts taxes, that
will further fuel spending and cause Alan G. sleeplessness.

The only thing that will keep things going is spending cuts
( government + entitlements ), and I don't see anybody
politikos offering that up,

I think GS would be a fool to raise 1/2....could
bury the old economy stocks. I don't think he'll take that
kind of risk. We shall see...I'm treading very carefully.

Euro, I've been hearing on CNBC the Euro could be
gearing up for a rally.
