Martha Stewart on Her Company's Internet
Business: Comment

New York, March 14 (Bloomberg) -- Martha Stewart,
chairwoman and chief executive of Martha Stewart Living
Omnimedia Inc., spoke about the company's Internet business
on financial news network CNBC. ``Our Internet direct
commerce business posted $36 million in revenue and I think
what it's really showing is that people are shopping on line, a
lot of migration from our catalog, Martha by Mail, to the 'Net.
I think that having that catalog is sort of a catalyst, a
teaching tool, for our audience and then having them migrate
to the web is going to help our Internet business a lot.'
``We're able to put more products on our Web site than we
can in the pages of our catalog.' ``We have a very fine
display of our mass market product at Kmart in the United
States and at Zellers in Canada. As that product evolves and
gets even better, I don't think that we really plan to open any
brick-and-mortar locations for Martha by Mail.' (CNBC 3/14)
