Mornin' Lynn,
I'm still here in the back of the wagon, hangin tight to the few coins of NTAP in my tin cup. Did we miss the trail for a few moments, or what?
it sounds to me as if you are a momentum player rather than an investor who takes a position in a stock intending to hold it for the long term
Please don't get a wrinkle in your corset about who/what I am. I am mostly a lurqer...I am former 100% QCOMmer. Since January, have spread about 25% into JDSU, CREE, ELON, LPTHA, LHSP, and a toedip into NTAP. I think I first got interested in it from the G&K board from you or Unc Frank.
I bought only 50 shares to track it for awhile before making a decision one way or the other. This morning sure wiped out the sell stops all the way down. Glad I learned from many days reading SI (before tax season glued me to my desk) not to set stops. I am sure that many who are without the wisdom available from you and many of the other veteran posters are sad at this moment.
Regarding Roth conversions, ask your tax person about the number of times per year you can move assets from your traditional IRA to your Roth. The rules are not real clear about that. It makes sense to do that when prices are down as you say.
Try to keep the NTAP horses on the upward path today. Those side roads are rough on all us old folks in the back of the wagon. Esmerelda got bounced out a ways back at the 160 hairpin and is running hard to catch up agin. Now that we've slowed back down from 200 to 185, she might catch us.
Lynn, have a good day...jj |
