RESEARCH ALERT- Scientific Atlanta started NEW YORK, March 15 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley Dean Witter on Wednesday said it had begun research coverage on shares of Scientific-Atlanta Inc., maker of television set-top boxes, with an initial rating of outperform. -- In a research note, Morgan Stanley said it had set an initial price target on the stock of $180 per share. -- Further details were not available. -- Scientific Atlanta shares were down 5-1/4 at 142-11/16 in mid-morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange. What the heck! Now down 20!
